Ad Blockers

We use ads and subscriptions to pay for the costs associated with providing TVTV.ca and TVTV.us. You can use our site for free if you do NOT use an ad blocker. If you are using an ad blocker, you will no longer be able to see the TV grid. You will have a choice: you can either turn off your ad blocker for our site or subscribe. For more information on Subscriptions, please see Subscriptions.

How to tell if you have an ad blocker:

What to do if you do have an ad blocker

There are three main types of ad blockers: browser extensions, browser tracking/content blocking, and installed apps. You will have to locate which is being used on your device.

Browser extensions

Browser extensions can be added to whichever browser you use. There will be an icon that looks like a piece of a puzzle to the left of your address bar (where you enter tvtv.us or tvtv.ca). If you choose the puzzle icon, a list of extensions is shown. Choose the ad blocker you see there and toggle the on/off to off for TVTV.

Content blocking/tracking from your browser

Browser tracking/content blocker options can be located by choosing the shield icon beside your address bar (where you enter www.tvtv.ca or www.tvtv.us). When you click or tap the shield, you can choose to turn off content blocking and tracking for TVTV. Browsers such as Firefox and Vivaldi use this type of ad blocking.

Installed ad blockers as apps

Ad blockers can be installed as an app on your device. In most cases, the ad blocker will install an icon on your home screen. Double click or tap the icon to go to Settings. There you will be able to allow ads on TVTV. If you don't have an icon on your desktop, go to Settings, Apps and then Installed Apps. In that list, you will find the installed ad blocker. Click or tap the 3 dots to the right of the app and you will be able to access the settings.

Not all ad blockers will have ad blocker in their name; for example, Ghostery is a common ad blocker.

Subscriptions

New to TVTV are subscriptions. For a minimal monthly cost you can use TVTV ad free. We understand that ads can be irritating; however we do require revenue to pay for the development, support and data for TVTV. A subscription allows you to use TVTV ad free while supporting the costs associated with developing and maintaining the site. If you choose not to purchase a subscription, you can still use the site with ads. If you are having trouble with subscriptions, please contact us using the form on the menu.

Why are there "duplicate" channels and how do I remove the ones I don't use?

Channels received in each zip/postal code area can vary depending on where customers are located. The new schedule shows all channels that can be picked up in a zip/postal code area including those channels not available in all locations. Some channels may look the same, but the call signs for each channel are different (written under each logo). We show both HD and analog/sd channels. If you have either an old or new digital box, you can see their channels. You can use the My Channels tool to remove channels you do not receive or watch (Remove channels from the grid).

Show times and or time zone is wrong

If specific channels are showing at the wrong time, please contact us by using the form on the menu. Include channel number and name, if possible. If all channels are showing at the wrong time try the following:
